About Arctic Dry Ice
We Don't Resell Dry Ice.
We Make It.
Arctic Dry Ice is one of the few dry ice manufacturers in the Northeast, not a distributor, not a reseller. We produce fresh, food-grade dry ice every single day at our facility in Londonderry, New Hampshire, and deliver it directly to businesses and individuals across Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Northern New York.
That distinction matters. When you buy dry ice from a reseller, you're getting a product that was made somewhere else, stored, and redistributed. When you buy from Arctic Dry Ice, you're getting product made fresh that day, denser, longer-lasting, and higher quality than anything sitting in a distributor's warehouse.
Arctic Dry Ice didn't begin as a dry ice company. It began as a supply chain problem.
Matt Kozlowski is a seasoned healthcare logistics executive, that owns and operates a regional courier company that services the biomedical and healthcare industry across New England — time-sensitive deliveries, temperature-critical cargo, no margin for error. To do that work right, you need dry ice. A lot of it. Fresh, dense, food-grade dry ice that actually holds temperature for the duration of a run.
The problem was finding a reliable supplier in the Northeast. As Matt did more research, he discovered that there were only a few manufacturers in the Northeast that supplied everyone. So, when one of those manufacturers had supply chain issues, it resulted in a ripple effect on the entire region. The other issue he found was that regional distributors were selling product that had been sitting in a warehouse, resold two or three times over, resulting in getting old dry ice.
So, Matt did what made sense: built the supply chain from scratch. He brought in his friend and business partner Aristotle Souliotis who is also a seasoned entrepreneur and Arctic Dry Ice was founded in 2020 as a manufacturer — not a reseller — producing fresh, food-grade dry ice daily at our Londonderry, New Hampshire facility.
Being an entrepreneur and executive that is used to coming up with solutions to logistical problems, Matt saw this as another business opportunity to not only resolve his own dry ice supply chain issues, but also for everyone else in the region that had the same problem.
What started as an internal solution quickly became something the wider market needed too. Four retail locations, regional delivery, fresh product every day, built by people who needed it to work.

How We Make Dry Ice
Dry ice is solid carbon dioxide (CO₂) — the same gas that gives carbonated beverages their fizz, compressed and frozen to −109.3°F (−78.5°C). At that temperature it doesn't melt — it sublimates, converting directly from a solid back to a gas with no liquid residue left behind.
At our Londonderry facility, we start with food-grade liquid CO₂ supplied under strict quality standards. That liquid is expanded under controlled pressure, which causes it to rapidly cool and solidify into snow-like dry ice crystals. Those crystals are then hydraulically compressed into the pellets, rice, blocks, and slices we sell — each form designed for a specific application.
The entire process happens daily. We don't manufacture in large batches and hold inventory, we produce to meet demand, which means every order leaves our facility as fresh product.
Why Fresh-Made Dry Ice Matters
Food Grade Quality
Every batch we produce meets food-grade standards — safe for direct contact with food products, medical samples, and pharmaceutical applications.
No Residue
Dry ice sublimates cleanly — no water, no mess, no secondary cleanup.
Made Fresh Daily
We don't stockpile dry ice. We make it fresh every day to meet demand, so you're never getting yesterday's product.
Multiple Forms
Pellets, rice, blocks, and slices — each optimized for its application.
Higher Density
Fresh-manufactured dry ice is denser than redistributed product, which means it lasts longer and performs better for refrigeration and shipping.
